Clinic Synopsis:

This clinic will address important issues all instrumental music teachers face but may have been missing from their college curriculum. You will learn proven "common sense" and "experienced veteran" techniques, suggestions, and attitudes for dealing with: recruiting, marketing, public relations, utilizing professional talent in the community, and getting the "university folks" to help you with the daily-grind aspects of the job.

Frank C. Tracz - Biographical Information

Frank Tracz is professor of music and director of bands at Kansas State University. He coordinates the band program consisting of three concert bands, five athletic bands, and a variety of small ensembles. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses and oversees KSU's Summer Master's Program in Conducting. His ensembles have toured nationally and internationally and have appeared at MENC, CBDNA, and KMEA. He is active as an adjudicator, advisor, guest conductor, and clinician throughout the United States and abroad. Dr. Tracz is also a faculty member of the Conn-Selmer Education Division and conducts the Manhattan Municipal Band.
