Marcia Neel - Biographical Information

A veteran of 36 years in education, Marcia served as secondary fine arts coordinator for the Clark County School District (CCSD) in Las Vegas from 1994-2007. She led that program to a class count of 50,000+ in 91 secondary schools with 100,000+ in Secondary Arts Education overall. In 2007, the CCSD Board received the Distinguished Service to Music Education Award from the National Association of School Boards, VH1 and NAMM. An ardent advocate, Neel serves on the SupportMusic Steering Committee, MENC National Advocacy Committee, and the Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium. She has authored articles and publications for MENC, SBO, Strings Magazine, SupportMusic, and Leadership Magazine. Marcia is president of Music Education Consultants, Inc., and serves as a national presenter for the Music Achievement Council, and Wenger Corporation, by providing motivating workshops for educators.
