The Paperless Music Tour: iPads, the Cloud & Social Media

Clinic Synopsis:

Move into the 21st century as you plan your next music tour. This session will cover tips to help music educators organize and implement a 21st century communication strategy for all aspects of a successful music tour. Set up iPads for your chaperones that sync tour documents to the cloud. Target and streamline electronic communication to tour participant families. Set up a student blog team. Configure Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram so parents can follow your tour in 'real time'.

Brayer Teague - Biographical Information

Brayer Teague serves as Fine Arts Chairperson at Downers Grove North High School, a position he has held since 1996. He has been recognized five times by the Marquis “Who’s Who in American Teaching” and in 2001 was named a Golden Apple Scholar finalist. In 2008, Mr. Teague received the Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Award and in 2010 earned distinction as a National Board Certified Teacher. A graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Michigan, he has also completed Educational Leadership Certification at North Central College. In addition to presentations at national and international conferences, Mr. Teague has published curriculum materials for both Microsoft and the IL State Board of Education. Mr. Teague is an advocate for expanding the walls of the arts classroom through music performance tours. He has led student music tours to Germany, Ireland, England, Italy, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, Canada, and a host of cities in the United States.
