Cultivating the Culture of Your Band Program

Clinic Synopsis:

Every music program possesses a "culture." This clinic will offer suggestions to develop a positive culture in your band program, beginning with the middle school level and continuing through high school.

Linda Huck - Biographical Information

Linda A. Huck recently retired after 32.5 years of teaching, all of which had been in the Farmington R-7 School District in Farmington, MO. She also completed 4 years as President of the Missouri Bandmasters Association, and has served the Missouri Music Educators Association as State Band Vice President and District President. Linda was the 2015 recipient of the Charles Emmons Outstanding Band Director Award by the Lambda Chapter of Phi Beta Mu. and was named the Outstanding Music Educator in the MMEA East Central District in 2002-03 and 2014-15. Instrumental ensembles under Mrs. Huck's direction consistently earned superior ratings at the Missouri State Evaluative Festival. She has presented clinics in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, and the Midwest Clinic. Mrs. Huck maintains an active schedule as a conductor/clinician and is a certified adjudicator through the Missouri and Kansas State High School Activities Associations. She also serves as a Music Education Consultant with Springfield Music, Springfield, Missouri.
