Simple Solutions for Virtual Performances

Clinic Synopsis:

Mr. Schayot will demonstrate assembling individual or small group audio-visual recordings into fun and engaging virtual concerts using a few easy and free online tools. He will also showcase methods for creating and streaming real-time virtual concert experiences for students, families and teachers that foster connections and allow everyone to take pride in their collective work together at one moment in time. All this will be done using technology that clinic participants already have at their fingertips. Mr. Schayot will also give a step-by-step "how-to" on easily and quickly acquiring synchronization rights for a virtual concert!

Jason Schayot - Biographical Information

Jason Schayot is the Fine Arts Coordinator and Director of Bands at L.V. Berkner High School in the Richardson ISD where he conducts the Symphonic Band I, coordinates the marching band and co-conducts the Berkner Symphony Orchestra.  Under his baton, the Berkner Symphonic Band I performed in Chicago at the 2019 Midwest Clinic.  Previously, the Berkner Mighty Ram Band performed at the 2016 UIL State Marching Band Championship and the Symphony Orchestra performed at the 2016 Midwest Clinic in Chicago.  Mr. Schayot is currently in his 23rd year of teaching.  Before coming to Richardson in 2011, he served as Director of Bands at Georgetown High School.  Mr. Schayot has also taught at the middle school level at Forbes MS, Benold MS and Giddings MS.  Mr. Schayot holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
