The Walsh program prides itself on providing a variety of music making opportunities. In addition to the traditional concert band format, students have numerous opportunities to participate in small and large chamber ensembles and solo recitals throughout the year. The students in the Walsh band participate in a culture of kindness and teamwork, participating in multiple mentor programs throughout the year of student-led rehearsals, sectionals, and tutoring of younger students. Through the dedicated work of many individuals, the program has built a tradition of excellence that has flourished within the school and community.
