Be Part of The 65th Annual Midwest Clinic

by Kathleen Andersen, Communications Coordinator, The Midwest Clinic

All who wish to appear before an audience of peers at The Midwest Clinic are encouraged to propose a clinic or submit a performance application for our 65th Annual Conference! The 2011 conference will be held December 14-17, at McCormick Place West (2301 S. Indiana Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60616).

As past attendees know, The Midwest Clinic is the world’s largest conference for instrumental music educators. For the 2011 conference, the Board of Directors welcomes performance applications from school, university, and community bands, orchestras, and jazz ensembles. We also hope that all instrumental chamber ensembles will consider this opportunity. The 2011 performances will inspire conference attendees, show them what musicians at many levels can achieve, and introduce them to new music.

The Midwest Clinic also seeks proposals from clinicians who can advise, stimulate, and guide members of the instrumental music education community. The conference has a diverse audience, and the Board of Directors hopes to receive proposals from clinicians representing a range of teaching backgrounds and experience levels.
