Doc Severinsen to Perform at Midwest!

For almost seven decades, the name Doc Severinsen has been synonymous with wit, flair, and a legendary sound. From classical to jazz, to big band and world music, Doc is one of the most respected musicians in the world. For thirty years, he was the sound of late night television on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, bringing his signature playing and big band into the homes of millions around the country.

Midwest is thrilled to announce that on the evening of Wednesday, December 20, 2017, Doc will perform a special concert at its 71st annual conference. Joining him will be vocalist Vanessa Thomas, percussionist Stockton Helbing, and the Elmhurst College Big Band under the direction of Doug Beach.

The concert is complimentary to all paid Midwest registrants with a conference credential. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear one of the great icons of American music and television; a musician, conductor, and educator that has undeniably served as an inspiration to generations of musicians.

Performance made possible by S.E. Shires (the custom brass division of Eastman Music Company) and Quinlan & Fabish Music Company.
