Performer Bio Synopsis

Hebron High School is located in Carrollton, Texas and is a part of the Lewisville Independent School District. The Hebron Band currently serves 300 students who participate in marching band, four concert bands, large and small chamber ensembles, and color guard. The middle school feeder programs for the Hebron Band are Arbor Creek, Creek Valley, and Killian. The Hebron Band thrives on its strong booster, administrative, and community support. The Hebron High School Wind Symphony is a consistent Texas University Interscholastic League Concert and Sight Reading Sweepstakes Winner. The Hebron Wind Symphony was named the Texas Music Educators Association 5A Honor Band for 2010-2011. Also in 2010, the Hebron Wind Symphony performed at the 64th Annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago. In the spring of 2012, the Hebron Wind Symphony was awarded the Sudler Flag of Honor from the John Philip Sousa Foundation. In the fall of 2015, the Hebron Wind Symphony and its three feeder middle schools were named Mark of Excellence National Winners. The Hebron Wind Symphony has also been invited to perform at the 2018 American Bandmasters Association Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. The Hebron High School Marching Band is a consistent Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Finalist and Champion. The Hebron High School Marching Band has also earned six straight appearances in the Texas UIL State Marching Contest including Silver Medalist finishes in 2012 and 2014. In the fall of 2015 at the Bands of America Grand National Championships, the Hebron Marching Band was named the Class 4A Champion, and earned 3rd Place overall in Finals Competition. In 2010, the Hebron Marching Band was awarded the John Philip Sousa Foundation’s Sudler Shield Award recognizing “Marching Bands of World Class Excellence”. Along with the Wind Symphony’s 2010 performance, the Hebron Clarinet Choir and Large Chamber Ensembles have performed at the 63rd and 68th Annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic respectively. The Hebron High School Band students and staff are excited about the opportunity to perform at the 70th Annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic and are humbled by this prestigious honor.

Conductor's Bio

Andy Sealy is in his thirteenth year as Director of Bands at Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas. The Hebron High School Band is a consistent Texas UIL “Sweepstakes” Winner, Bands of America Regional/Super Regional Finalist and Class Champion, and “Best in Class” Winner. The Hebron Wind Symphony was recognized as the Texas Music Educators Association 5A Honor Band for 2010-2011 and performed for the 2011 TMEA Convention/Clinic. The Hebron Wind Symphony also performed at the 64th Annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in 2010 and was awarded the prestigious Sudler Flag of Honor from the John Philip Sousa Foundation in 2012. The Hebron Marching Band has earned six straight appearances in the UIL Texas State Marching Band Contest including Silver Medalist finishes in 2012 and 2014. The Hebron Marching Band received the Sudler Shield in 2011 and in 2014 was the Bands of America Grand Nationals 4A Class Champion and overall Bronze Medalist. In 2009, the Hebron Clarinet Choir performed at the 63rd Annual Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. And, in 2014, all of the Hebron Large Chamber Ensembles performed at the 68th Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic. The Texas Chapter of the American School Band Directors Association selected the Hebron High School Band for their 2015 Outstanding Program Award. Andy is a frequent adjudicator and clinician. He maintains professional affiliations with the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Phi Beta Mu International Bandmasters Fraternity, American Bandmasters Association, Texas Music Adjudicators Association, International Clarinet Association, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the Texas Music Educators Association. Andy has been happily married to his wife, Karen, for twenty years. Karen is the Secondary Curriculum and Programs Director for the Lewisville Independent School District. Karen and Andy reside in Frisco, Texas with their two rescue dogs Abby and Rosco.
