The board of directors and staff of the Midwest Clinic wish to thank you for attending the 66th Annual Midwest Clinic. Several of our attendees commented that this conference was among the best, or perhaps the very best, in the history of this annual gathering. Every moment of the four-day program, from the opening concert of The United States Air Force Band Chamber Ensembles through the echoes of the grand finale concert of the Marcus High School Wind Symphony, was designed to support you and people with whom you make music—student musicians, community and professional musicians, administrators, parents, composers, arrangers, music industry professionals, and others who are devoted to music.
The conference program was designed to include wide-ranging facets of musical life: middle school, high school, college, professional, community, private studio, music industry and future teachers. We hope you returned home with a library of inspirational new ideas and techniques to seek excellence in every aspect of your life in music. The success of the Midwest Clinic is measured by the ways that music enhances life, especially in higher standards of teaching, learning and performance, in communities throughout America and many other nations.
The Midwest is YOUR CLINIC. The board of directors and staff exist to serve YOU. We welcome your comments on past conferences and suggestions for the future. We promise that our next conference program will keep you involved and excited until the climactic grand finale concert on Saturday, December 21, 2013. You will not want to miss the exhilaration of the 67th Annual Midwest Clinic!
Most Sincerely,
Richard C. Crain, President
Board of Directors
