The 2019 Midwest Clinic Thanks You

THANK YOU!  It’s been another record-breaking year for the Midwest Clinic.  In every category, from the all-time high registration numbers to the sold-out exhibit hall, the participation at the 73rd Annual Midwest Clinic exceeded our most positive expectations.  Above all, the onsite commentary and feedback indicates the concert  performances and the docket of professional development clinics can be deemed: “The best ever.”  All of this is wrapped in a signature spirit that has become the trademark of our internationally recognized conference.  You and your colleagues are the key component of this one-of-a-kind culture; the treasury of dividends continues to offer immeasurable benefits for all.

I would be remiss not to shine the spotlight of appreciation on all those who selflessly invested countless hours to ensure the fantastic outcome of this year’s endeavor.  The behind-the-scenes efforts are beyond measure.  The volunteers, the VanderCook students, adult staff, the personnel from the Hyatt Hotel, the management team from McCormick Place, Choose Chicago, the Midwest office staff, Advisory Committee and many more; they all play a key role in the successful production of the event. And, certainly the members of the Board of Directors who spent all year planning and executing the details for this one-of-a-kind event.  

As the echoes of remarkable music-making fade in the rafters of the convention center, the plans for next year are moving forward with enthusiasm.  They include: The United States Navy Band, The Yamaha Corporation Band, an outstanding wind orchestra from Brazil in addition to a many, many special surprises certain to make the 74th even more exciting.  Please highlight these dates on your 2020 calendar:  December 16-19.  We’ll count on seeing you.
