Tiffany Webb is a 1995 graduate of South Houston High School where she was an orchestra student of Charlotte Eads. In 2000, Ms. Webb graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University. While attending SHSU, she studied with cello professor Dr. Peter Kempter and played in the Sam Houston State University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Carol Smith. In addition, Ms. Webb was an officer of the Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity for women and was consecutively named to the university’s President’s List of academic achievement.
Upon graduating from SHSU, Ms. Webb taught ten years at Kleb Intermediate in Klein ISD. While head director at Kleb Intermediate, Ms. Webb’s students earned consecutive UIL Sweepstakes Awards, were named Best in Class at the Galveston Isle Orchestra Festival, were invited to perform various events in the greater Houston area, ranked among the best in the state in the Texas Music Educators’ Association (TMEA) Honor Orchestra competition for Texas, and the majority continued to play in the Klein High School Orchestra which was named TMEA Honor Orchestra.
In 2007, Ms. Webb graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters’ Degree in Educational Administration from the University of St. Thomas. Following her years in Klein ISD, Ms. Webb served as an Educational Service Representative at Fishburn Violin Shop where she learned much about instrument repair, instrument making and various instrument makers, the “business side” of music, and was provided the opportunity to work with many orchestra directors around the state. Next in her career, she worked with Clint Capshaw as the assistant orchestra director at James E. Taylor HS, Katy ISD. During her five years at Taylor HS, the Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra consistently placed in the final round of the TMEA Honor Orchestra Competition, making the THS orchestra program one of the top 10 in Texas. In 2018, Ms. Webb had the honor of conducting the Taylor Orchestra on the gorgeous Carnegie Hall Stage in New York.
Ms. Webb is an active UIL adjudicator of 17 years for UIL Concert and Sight-reading Evaluation and UIL Solo and Ensemble Contests. Ms. Webb resides in Spring, TX with her husband. This is Ms. Webb’s fifth year at Krimmel Intermediate. She is beyond proud of the Krimmel Chamber Orchestra for winning Grand Champion at the 2023 American String Teachers Association Conference in Orlando, Florida. This group also received a 2nd place rating in the TMEA Honor Full Orchestra Competition! These are national-level honors for the Krimmel Orchestra Program! GO KNIGHTS!
