Performer Bio Synopsis

Homestead Jazz 1 is one of three co-curricular big bands at Homestead High School. The ensemble is a 5-time ISSMA Jazz State Finalist, a consistent honor band at local and state jazz festivals, and was invited and performed at the 2023 Indiana Music Educators Association state conference. Students in the ensemble consistently audition and perform in the Indiana All-State Jazz Ensemble. Many students continue their jazz studies after high school. Many of the Homestead students take private lessons and perform in a variety of jazz combos throughout the year.
