The James Bowie High School Trombone Choir was founded in 2021 as a voluntary ensemble and has since more than doubled in size. In addition to performing regularly at campus events and Austin-area professional sports games, the Bowie Trombone Choir has played alongside the University of Texas at Austin Trombone Choir. The ensemble's goals are to help increase enthusiasm and recruitment within the Bowie trombone section, raise the level of playing across all students, and introduce new performance and community outreach opportunities.
