Performer Bio Synopsis
The Flower Mound Wind Symphony is the premiere performing ensemble in the Flower Mound Band. The ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9 - 12. The students receive daily instruction including private lessons and weekly masterclasses. The Flower Mound Wind Symphony has been selected as a performing ensemble at numerous prestigious events, including The Midwest Clinic and the Texas Music Educators Convention.

Conductor's Bio
Since 2012, Brent Biskup has served as the Director of Bands at Flower Mound High School, where his leadership has established the program as a model of musical excellence on the local, national, and international stages. Under his guidance, the Flower Mound Band has developed a reputation for precision, artistry, and a commitment to the development of student musicians.
Brent believes that great musicians are shaped through diverse musical experiences. The program’s year-round emphasis on chamber music, solo literature, and full ensemble performance allows students to develop both individual musicianship and collective artistry.
Flower Mound is a rare recipient of both the Sudler Flag of Honor and the Sudler Shield, recognizing excellence in concert and marching band. The Flower Mound Marching Band is a perennial finalist at the BOA Grand National Championships and has earned numerous Grand Champion titles at regional and national competitions. Most notably, the band received the Outstanding Music Caption at BOA Grand Nationals in both 2021 and 2025, while also earning numerous medals at the UIL State Marching Contest including the gold medal in 2016 and 2025.
The Flower Mound Wind Symphony has been invited to perform at prestigious venues including the Midwest Clinic in Chicago and the TMEA Convention as an Invited Ensemble. The Wind Symphony has been named a finalist and ranked in the top 3 bands in the Texas State Honor Band Competition every year since 2016.
Brent’s contributions as an educator have also been recognized through his selection as the 2016 Flower Mound High School Teacher of the Year, a UIL Sponsor of Excellence, inclusion in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, and recognition as an Outstanding Community Member by the Flower Mound Rotary Club.
Brent and his wife, Amelie, live in Flower Mound with their three sons, Beau, Myles, and Quinn. Away from the band hall, he enjoys supporting his sons in their many activities and remains passionate about music, mentorship, and his community.
