I will cover my early years, bad habits that were developed and how I corrected them, as well as my philosophy on the fundamentals of breathing, air support embouchure, aperture, and tone color. I also will address the skills required of a working professional musician such as stylistic diversity and adaptability to different settings.

Wayne Bergeron - Biographical Information

Wayne Bergeron is enjoying a career as one of the most active players on the Los Angeles scene. With studio dates, International touring, jazz concerts, guest soloist appearances and clinics he has no intention of slowing down. In 1986, he landed the lead trumpet position with the Maynard Ferguson Band. Remarking on the talented trumpet player, Ferguson had this to say during a radio interview: “Wayne is the most musical lead trumpet player I’ve ever had on my band.” Bergeron, a Grammy nominee, has been involved in hundreds of CD projects, films, and television programs. His passion for big bands finds him seated in some of LA's most respected bands. He has recorded with Quincy Jones, Gordon Goodwin, Pat Williams, Sammy Nestico, Jack Sheldon, Tom Kubis, John La Barbara, Ralph Carmichael, Bob Florence, Frank Capp, Matt Cattingub, Bill Liston, and Kim Richmond, to name just a few.
