Jan Eberle - Biographical Information

Jan Eberle is Associate Professor of Oboe at Michigan State University in East Lansing. She graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, and completed postgraduate studies with John Mack of the Cleveland Orchestra. For eighteen years, Jan was Principal Oboe of the Fort Worth Symphony, and has been a guest principal oboe in the Cincinnati, Detroit, Houston, and Minneapolis Symphonies. Ms. Eberle was a winner of the South Bay and Coleman International Chamber Music Competitions, and has judged the Gillet-Fox International Oboe Competition, Meg Quigley International Bassoon Competition, and the Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) National Concerto Competition. She is a featured recitalist, concerto soloist, and guest lecturer throughout the United States, and is published in the International Double Reed (IDRS) Journal. Two CDs of her solo playing are available: Spectral Trio and All for One.
