Clinic Synopsis:

Young teachers often have to work harder than their older counterparts to establish credibility with parents and appropriate distance from their students. Mr. Weak will share his experience at successfully establishing himself as at mature professional at the age of 23.

Andrew Weak - Biographical Information

Andrew Weak is the head band director at Apollo Junior High School (a feeder of Berkner High School) in Richardson, Texas. His responsibilities include teaching Symphonic Band I and beginning band classes at various elementary schools. Mr. Weak was an associate band director at Berkner High School where his Symphonic Band III consistently received superior ratings at UIL Contest and was named “Best in Class,” at the South Coast Music Festival. A clarinetist, Weak received his B.M.E. from Baylor University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He has presented several clinics, including clinics for the Texas Bandmasters Association and most recently overseas for the Wind Band Association of Singapore.
