Mallory Thompson - Biographical Information

Mallory Thompson is professor of music, director of bands, coordinator of the conducting program, and conductor of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble at Northwestern University. She also served on the faculty of the Interlochen Arts Academy and the Aspen Music Festival. She is the artistic director of the Northshore Concert Band and active as a guest conductor and clinician throughout the United States and Canada. Dr. Thompson guest conducted The United States Army Band “Perishing’s Own,” United States Air Force Band, United States Army Field Band, United States Coast Guard Band, United States Navy Band, West Point Band, Dallas Wind Symphony, and the Symphony Silicon Valley. She holds degrees from Northwestern University and the Eastman School of Music and her professional affiliations include Pi Kappa Lambda, MENC, CBDNA, ABA, and she serves on the board of the Midwest Clinic.
