Music Teacher 2.0: Managing Your Program in the Digital Age

Clinic Synopsis:

As music educators, we often are challenged to balance a diverse teaching load with the responsibilities that come with managing a music program. This session will provide an overview of digital and web-based tools that can be particularly effective in cutting down on the time spent at your desk so you can spend more time doing what you love to do: teaching!

Andrew Zweibel - Biographical Information

Andrew Zweibel is the Director of Bands at South Dade Senior High School in Homestead, FL. He began teaching at South Dade in 2011 after receiving his Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music that spring. While in college, Andrew was heavily inovlved in the world of Music Education/Technology online. He is known around the world for creating social media-based professional development communities for music educators across the globe. Mr. Zweibel has been quoted or published in “Teaching Music” magazine and the online “Leading Notes” Magazine, as well as various state music education journals. In addition, he has presented on the topic of social media in music education at both local and national conferences including the national Technology in Music Education conference and the Florida Music Educators’ Association clinic/conference.
