Clinic Synopsis:

No matter what your circumstances are, what your students learn still comes down to you. Prepare to be inspired, energized, and reminded about being the best teacher you can be. Lambrecht will draw on years of experience as a middle school, high school and university band director to offer a checklist of to-do's for effective teaching.

Barbara Lambrecht - Biographical Information

Barbara Lambrecht has taught band and orchestra at every level, elementary through university. Her honors include: 2015 Texas Bandmaster of the Year, Women Band Directors International and Texas Bandmaster Hall of Fame, Texas Tech University’s Distinguished Music Educator Award, Tau Beta Sigma's Outstanding Service to Music Award, NBA Achievement Award, TMEA Achievement Award, 2000 Outstanding Musicians of the 20th Century, and Who's Who of American Women. Her bands’ honors include the Sudler Cup of Excellence, Texas Music Educators Association Honor Band, New Mexico Music Educators Honor Band, and New Mexico State Concert Band championship. Her groups have performed at the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic, TMEA, and NMMEA. She has presented clinics at numerous state meetings, including TBA, TMEA, Oklahoma Bandmasters, Mississippi Bandmasters, Nebraska Bandmasters, NMEA, and for the WBDI summer meeting. She has been a member of both Sudler Flag & Cup committees, served as Contributing Editor for The Instrumentalist. Her articles have been published in The Instrumentalist, Southwestern Musician, and Texas Bandmasters Journal. Her concert band and orchestra music is published by: Hal Leonard, E.C. Schirmer, TRN, and RBC Music. She organized a Young Educator Seminars (YES) in El Paso, YES/SI - Sharing Information), and CBDNA’s Small College Intercollegiate Band. Founder of the Edge of Texas Concert Band, she serves as its Artistic Director and Conductor. She also serves on the Board of Directors of International Phi Beta Mu.
