Clinic Synopsis:

Rhythm is the most important thing in music. Most methods for teaching rhythm reading skills have one major flaw in common – They all move too fast! Students memorize rhythms instead of learning to read them. This session will present methods and materials to help your students, internalize, understand, and accurately read rhythms.

Seth Gamba - Biographical Information

Seth Gamba is currently the orchestra director at Elkins Pointe Middle School in Fulton County, GA. He is well known as a composer and adjudicator. Mr. Gamba’s orchestra has had featured performances at state conferences and his compositions have frequently been featured by groups performing at the annual GMEA conference. He currently has two compositions on the GMEA approved list for level 3 Orchestra. His book Rhythmic Projections and his composition Rock On! are available from Ludwig Masters Publishing.
