Clinic Synopsis:

This is a practical lecture on ideas for connecting to students in performing arts classes. The session is divided into three sections; Relating , Retaining, and Recruiting. We will explore ideas for genuinely connecting to students, maintaining students in your programs and ideas for recruitment for building your program for the future.

Jeff Harper - Biographical Information

Mr. Jeff Harper is currently in his sixth year as Associate Director of Bands at Lassiter High School in Marietta, GA. Prior to his appointment at Lassiter, Mr. Harper served as the Director of Bands at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, Associate Director of Bands at Kennesaw Mountain High School in Kennesaw, Georgia and the Director of Bands at the West Cobb School in Kennesaw, Georgia. Serving as both a director and an associate Director, Mr. Harper's ensembles have performed for the Midwest Clinic, Music For All Regional and National Concert Band Festivals, the Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference, The University of Georgia High School Music Festival, the Tournament of Roses Parade, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Washington, D.C. Cherry Blossom Parade.
