The ABCs of Artistic Ensemble Rehearsing

Clinic Synopsis:

So often the day-to-day task of rehearsing an ensemble gets bogged down in “find and replace” error detection, cleanliness-oriented ensemble work, and minutiae. This session explores how the rehearsal process can be re-conceived to address technical and artistic goals simultaneously. The session will provide a series of twenty-six practical strategies and rehearsal techniques, arranged alphabetically, of course(!), that will help add musical depth to the day-to-day process of rehearsing.
