A Band Director’s Guide to Beginning Woodwinds

Clinic Synopsis:

Setting beginners up for success is one of the most important aspects of building a strong band program. Many directors may not be as familiar with setting up individual woodwind instruments as they are brass or percussion. Dr. Denis brings years of beginning woodwind instruction experience to this clinic which includes practice guidance for setting up embouchures (including live demonstrations), teaching articulation, and addressing the common pitfalls of teaching beginning woodwinds.
