"Show Me The Money" will provide participants with essential insights and practical strategies for navigating the complex world of education funding, including the Title IV-A Grant.

Aaron Vogel - Biographical Information

Aaron Vogel is the Effective Use of Technology Program Specialist at the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). With over 20 years of experience as a public-school band director, he most recently served as the Director of Bands at Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Arizona where his concert and chamber ensembles were featured at the Midwest Clinic, the Music for All National Festival, and various state, national, and international conferences. Aaron's marching ensembles at Mountain Ridge also achieved remarkable success, winning three Arizona State Marching Band Championships and the Bands of America Class 4A Arizona Regional Championships. As an Assistant Director, Aaron taught in Colorado at Fossil Ridge High School and Loveland High School, where both programs performed at the state conference and won their respective divisions at the State Marching Band Championships. Outside of his work in public schools, Aaron has served on the brass staffs for Drum Corps International’s The Cadets, The Cavaliers, and the Blue Knights, and was a marching member of the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also an original cast member of the Tony and Emmy award-winning show Blast! in London’s West End. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Master’s in Music Education and Wind Conducting from the University of Colorado.

Mark Hodge is the Arts Education Director for the Arizona Department of Education, where he passionately advocates for the integration of arts into the educational framework. With 28 years of experience as a successful high school band director, Mark has dedicated his career to inspiring young musicians and fostering a love for the arts in his students. His commitment to excellence in education has been recognized with the Teacher of the Year award on two occasions, showcasing his talent for creating impactful learning experiences. Mark continues to shape the future of arts education in Arizona, ensuring that creativity and expression remain vital components of the school curriculum.

Kelly Montaño - Biographical Information

Kelly Montaño is the Title IV-A Arts Education Specialist at the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). As a musician and former music educator, instructional coach, and curriculum specialist, Kelly is an enthusiastic advocate for well-rounded learning experiences for every child. She has developed K-12 programming and curriculum for fine and performing arts, physical education, social and emotional learning, and gifted education in Arizona, Nevada, and Texas. Kelly is committed to providing relevant and impactful professional development and instructional support for teachers and school leaders to ensure that every student has access to high-quality arts education.
