Remote recording is easier and more affordable than ever before; this clinic explores how to use available technology in various music education scenarios without the need for extensive training or expensive equipment.

Ryan Adamsons - Biographical Information

A native of Springfield, Virginia, Ryan Adamsons is based in Chicago where his diverse talents and interests have led him to a career encompassing a wide variety of activities in performance, composition, education, and the music industry at large. Ryan is an active trumpet player as well as a sought-after clinician and instructor with over two decades of experience working with groups of all sizes and styles, from small group jazz to championship-level drum corps. He is also an accomplished author with several published articles both online and in print, and is co-editor of the book Rehearsing the Jazz Band, available from Meredith Music. Ryan is also a prolific composer and arranger for various ensembles, with his educational jazz works published by Kendor through Excelsia Publishing. In addition to being the 2020 Jazz Education Network President’s Service Award Winner, Ryan is the Conference Production Coordinator for JEN’s annual conference, he is on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, and is the Jazz Area Manager for The Midwest Clinic. He is a Denis Wick Ambassador and plays Powell Custom trumpets and flugelhorns.

Caleb Alexander is director of Caleb Alexander Music Productions (CAMP), a thriving music studio nestled in the heart of Columbia, Missouri. With a deep-rooted dedication to both music education and artistic development, Caleb has cultivated CAMP into a vibrant hub for musicians of all levels. At CAMP, Caleb oversees a comprehensive range of services designed to nurture talent and support the local music community. He is primarily known for offering music lessons, with a particular emphasis on guitar instruction, providing aspiring musicians with personalized guidance to hone their craft. Beyond teaching, Caleb plays with Rochara Knight and The Honeydoves and volunteers with the Jazz Education Network
