Vince Kenney
- Biographical Information
Dr. Vince Kenney currently serves as Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Low Brass at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, where he is the conductor of the Drake Wind Symphony, and director of low brass studies.
Dr. Kenney has been invited to present guest artist recitals, clinics, and lectures, at dozens of the finest universities and music conferences throughout the United States, including the Texas Music Educators Association Conference, the United States Army Band Tuba/Euphonium Workshop, the International Tuba/Euphonium Conference, the Iowa Bandmasters Association, the Eastman School of Music, and many others. He is a contributing author to the Teaching Music Through Performance in Band Series published by GIA, and is the owner of VOCE Custom Recording, a group that specializes in educational and professional recording projects for wind bands of all levels.
Vince is a member of the College Band Directors National Association, The Iowa Bandmasters Association, and the International Tuba Euphonium Association. He received undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Performance from the University of Illinois, and Masters and Doctoral degrees in Euphonium Performance from the University of North Texas, under the tutelage of Dr. Brian Bowman.
Bradley Genevro - Biographical Information
Dr. Bradley Genevro is Director of Bands and Professor of Conducting in the Greenwood School of Music at Oklahoma State University. In his duties at Oklahoma State, Dr. Genevro oversees all aspects of the Band Area. Prior to his appointment at OSU, he has served on the faculties of the University of Texas at El Paso, Messiah University and the University of North Texas. Ensembles under Dr. Genevro's leadership have performed multiple times at state, national, and international conventions. In addition, his groups have recordings released under both the Mark Custom and Klavier Record labels.
Dr. Genevro maintains a very active schedule as a clinician, adjudicator, guest conductor, and recording producer, having worked across the US, Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, and mainland China. As a recording producer, he has worked with groups such as the University of North Texas Wind Symphony, United States Air Force Band, Keystone Wind Ensemble, the Sydney Conservatorium Wind Symphony, and a variety of other professional and university ensembles.
Dr. Genevro holds professional memberships in Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, National Association for Music Education, Phi Beta Mu, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Pi Kappa Lambda, Kappa Kappa Psi, Tau Beta Sigma, College Band Directors National Association and was elected to the prestigious American Bandmasters Association.
Jacquelyn Meunier - Biographical Information
During Jacquelyn Meunier's tenure at Southeast Polk High School, the band program has developed and maintained a reputation for consistent excellence. At Southeast Polk, she is the conductor of the Wind Ensemble, Conductor of the Symphonic Band, and co-director of the Marching Rams.
Prior to teaching at SEP, Jacquelyn served as Director of Bands at Ogden High School during 1998-99, and as band director for nine Catholic schools under the auspices of Wahlert High School in Dubuque, Iowa from 1996-98. She is currently active as a solo and ensemble festival adjudicator and is a private clarinet instructor for junior high through college level students. She has served as an advisor on the 2006 Iowa Ambassadors of Music European Tour.
Jacquelyn is an active member of the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association (SCIBA), the Iowa Bandmasters Association, the Iowa Music Educators Association, and the Music Educators National Conference. She has served as the high school honor band chairperson for SCIBA and is past president for the district. A native of Boone, Iowa, Jacquelyn received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Iowa State University. She spends her free time with her husband Bob and their beautiful daughter Katy.
