Touring Triumph: Mastering the Art of Performance Travel

Clinic Synopsis:

Your degree was in music. You never took a class in travel management. And though you know that student travel can expand your students’ horizons, planning a performance tour can feel complicated and overwhelming. This session will simplify the travel planning process by helping you to focus on the few elements that matter most, and will show you how to make your next tour a success with less stress.

Brayer Teague - Biographical Information

Brayer Teague currently serves on the faculty of Elmhurst University and is the Education & Special Projects Coordinator at Bob Rogers Travel. As a music educator of 35 years, he is passionate about performance travel and has long advocated for expanding musical experiences beyond the classroom walls. Teague has led 25 student performance tours to Austria, Canada, Czechia, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and a host of cities in the United States. Teague holds music degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Michigan and previously served as Chairperson for Fine Arts at Downers Grove North High School (IL). A Top 10 Finalist for the National GRAMMY Music Educator Award, Teague was honored by the Illinois Music Education Association with the Distinguished Service Award following his term as President. He was named the 2023 recipient of the John P. Paynter Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in Music Education.
