Sound the Trumpet: Teaching Fundamentals Through the Beauty of Sound

Clinic Synopsis:

Strong trumpet sections are built on consistent fundamentals, yet limited rehearsal time can make them difficult to prioritize. Gardner and Bell present a sound-centered approach to teaching fundamentals that improves tone, articulation, flexibility, range, and musicality. They will share strategies for use in ensemble, sectional, and individual settings. Attendees will learn how to construct level-appropriate fundamental routines and diagnose common trumpet issues using sound as the guide.
