Performer Bio Synopsis

The Symphonic Winds is the premiere performing concert band at Roma Middle School. The band program at Roma ISD began in 1994 and grows by leaps and bounds every year. Comprised of seventh and eighth grade students, members of this ensemble give numerous concerts during the year including UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest, pep rallies, parades, recruitment tours, and major music festivals. This ensemble has consistently received superior sweepstakes ratings at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest, in addition to winning Best in Class and Grand Champion at a long list of contests and festivals. In 2013-2015, the RMS Symphonic Winds earned the distinction as a National Wind Band Class A winner. And, in 2011, 2013, and 2015, these students were selected as finalist in the TMEA CC Honor Band Competition, placing 11th, 4th, and 2nd respectively. This is the first invitation for the Symphonic Winds to perform at The Midwest Clinic. They are beyond excited!
