Jazz flutist Ali Ryerson is an internationally renowned recording artist, author, and educator. She has released nearly two-dozen recordings on major labels such as Concord, DMP, Capri and Red Baron. Author of the JAZZ FLUTE PRACTICE METHOD, former jazz chair of the National Flute Association, and founder of NFA Jazz Flute Big Band, Ryerson’s annual Jazz Flute Master Class is in its tenth year. Consistently recognized by the DownBeat Jazz Poll and Jazz Journalist Association, Ms. Ryerson is an active clinician (Litchfield Jazz Camp, IJAM JAZZ in Italy, JazzSchool, IAJE, JEN, and NFA). She has performed and/or recorded with Frank Wess, Billy Taylor, Mike Mainieri, Joe Beck, Kenny Barron, Mark Levine, Red Rodney, Stephane Grappelli, among others.
